For F1’s team bosses, it was a day of meetings to discuss the future of F1. First they met in the McLaren motorhome for a pre-meeting meeting; then they went aboard Force Blue, the mega yacht belonging to Flavio Briatore, for a post-meeting debrief, before finally slugging it out with FIA president Max Mosley in the Automobile Club de Monaco. It’s tough at the top!

Monaco’s traditional rest day was anything but for the AT&T Williams mechanics, who had to report for work at 0800 having been out on the razzle until the early hours at the team party. Rumour has it they achieved more than the team bosses…

Vijay Mallya took time out from the politics on Friday afternoon to fly to South Africa to watch his Indian Premier League team, the Bangalore Royal Challengers, in the semi-finals of the cricket competition. He’ll be back in Monaco in time for Sunday’s race, making this an incredible sporting weekend for the Force India boss.

Nico Rosberg took to the catwalk this evening at the annual Amber Fashion Show. Along with fellow drivers Jenson Button, Nelson Piquet, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, he paraded Petra Ecclestone’s latest collection to much cheering from girlfriend Vivian! We always said he was a model driver.
